DevOps Engineer

Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Linode to support application development and production environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning and configuration of servers, networks, and storage.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of applications.

Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing frameworks and ensure code quality before deployment.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to streamline application deployment and scaling.

Automation and Scripting

• Develop and maintain scripts in languages such as Go or Bash to automate repetitive tasks, system monitoring, and log analysis in Linux-based environments.
• Implement automation for system backups, disaster recovery, and security patching using tools and frameworks compatible with Linux, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with industry standards.

Monitoring and Incident Response

• Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack to track system performance, application metrics, and potential security threats.
• Respond to and resolve incidents related to infrastructure or application failures, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Establish and maintain alerting systems to proactively address issues before they impact end users.

Collaboration and Security

• Collaborate closely with development and QA engineers to ensure seamless integration of development and operational workflows.
• Implement security best practices, including managing firewalls, IAM roles, and encryption protocols, to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in code reviews and infrastructure audits to uphold high standards of quality and compliance.

Documentation

• Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, AI tool development, and incident response procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

What You Will Bring

Must have at least 4 years' experience in:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Linode), Infrastructure as Code, high availability design.
• CI/CD & Containerization: Pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI), Docker & Kubernetes, automated testing.
• Automation & Scripting: Go, Bash, infrastructure automation, system monitoring and log analysis.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, root cause analysis, proactive alerting.
• Security & Compliance: IAM and firewall management, encryption, regulatory compliance.

Education & Experience

Employer accepts a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field followed by 4 years of experience in the position of Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related.
